When a coach looks at his team after being awarded a penalty shot as the biggest game of the year hangs in the balance, what does he say?
Mark Johnson says, “who wants it?” Which one of you wants to shoot, I’m not picking.
Why does he do this?
He’s leaving space for the right girl for the job to emerge. 1 player put their hand up on Wisconsin, not 18, not 4… 1 player.
When the HC asked, every player on the team had this brief thought, “What if I miss?” And they ruled themselves out. Because what you think about tends to manifest.

A Force Coach risks picking because he thinks he knows best. But his odds of picking the only one who doesn’t have doubt decrease, leading’ the traditional way.
Who should take the shot?
The most fearless one.
The player who volunteered didn’t have any doubt; their hand went up right away. I’m going to score, no second thought. No doubt in the mind.
How do you know who that is?
You leave space for her to tell you, “It’s me.”
