New Clip, New Scripted Start Games
Jamie took Part 4 and ran with it. Enjoy the following post from him.
Scripted Starts off Sweden World Championship Clip
Scripted start #1:
1v1 line of possession start:
Blue has one player in high OZ off line of possession start and one player in low OZ.
Red has one player in high OZ off line of possession start and one player in low OZ.
On the whistle, both players on line of possession race to get possession of puck sitting on line near the half wall. Both players working to win the space and gain the possession.
Once the possession is won, players can use either low supporting player or high supporting player as an outlet.
Whichever team wins the possession gets to activate all 3 players and attack net.
If your team loses the possession, only 2 defend, one player from the line of the possession battle, and one player from either the high OZ or low OZ depending on where the puck is played to.
Scripted start #2:
3v3 race to loose puck off shot.
2v2 starts on the inside.
1v1 starts on the half wall.
The coach or player shoots puck into traffic off the start, if the blue team recovers they can score immediately.
If the red team recovers, they must reset it to the coach at the top for him to shoot again and race inside for scoring opportunities.
Scripted start #3:
1v2 below the goal line off a rim start → 2v2 quick help → 4v3.
Starts with the blue offensive team outnumbered below the goal line on the rim start. Player who is outnumbered below the goal line works to puck protect and win the possession while he waits for supporting help from the second blue player.
If the blue team can win and maintain possession, 2 more players are available for scoring opportunities in the slot.
If the red team wins the battle for possession, the 3rd red player can activate and work to break the puck out of the zone.
Scripted start #4:
3v3 scripted start. The F1 player starts with the puck and works into the highlighted area on the half wall.
Once a player arrives in the highlighted area, D in red and supporting blue players can work into the highlighted area to either help the puck carrier or pressure the puck carrier if they are on defense.
If the blue team can escape the highlighted area with possession, they can activate into scoring opportunities 3v3.
If the red team turns the puck over, they must skate into the highlighted space on the other side to then activate to offense.
Scripted start #5:
Low to high pass as scripted start.
One player on offense in the highlighted area, one defender in the highlighted area.
All other players on other half of the offensive zone. As soon as the offensive player moves the puck low to high he must draw through the slot as a cut through to the other side of the slot line.
Player who receives the puck in the highlighted area is to find a play to open teammates across the slot line or a play on net.
As soon as play is made outside of highlighted area, it becomes a 4v4 scoring game with offensive team in blue, defensive team trying to break the puck out.
